17/05/17 - Move to new HQ Building
On Saturday 17th June the group was at long last able to move
into its own, purpose designed, Headquarters building.

24/02/17 - Nice Slab
The Headquarters building is of Tilt-up Concrete construction. The slab is now in place, and 10 out of the 14 panels have been poured with the remainder to be poured in the next few days.

19/01/17 - Turning the first sod
In a milestone for Broome Volunteer Sea Rescue, a sod-turning
ceremony was held earlier this week to recognise the start of
construction for the Group’s new headquarters, which has been a
decade in the making.

Kimberley
Land Council (PBC) Chairman Unda Edgar and Broome
Volunteer Sea Rescue Commander Brett Winfield turn the first sod
for the new Sea Rescue Headquarters in Broome. Looking on are
Kimberley Ports Authority Broome Harbourmaster Lindsay Copeman (L)
and Nyamba Buru Yawuru CEO Peter Yu (R)

We have a fence and site office.....the construction of our new
Headquarters can commence.

13/11/16 - EOY Breakfast
What a Morning! Thanks to Krisma for organising our end of year breakfast at Cable Beach Club Resort. It has been such a big year and this was a great opportunity to recap and show some appreciation for the effort that we as volunteers put into the Sea Rescue. Thanks guys! 05/11/16 - Dragon Boats
The 2016 Dragon Boat Racing, deferred from Shinju Matsuri Festival due unsuitable weather conditions, was most successful with a total of fourteen teams entered.
BVSRG has always provided on-water support, but for the first
time this year was asked to provide 100% of the on-water support.
This exercise required a total of six boats and many crew. The day
proceeded very smoothly and totally without hitch.

very trying conditions. Professional in every respect! THANKS
TEAM!!!! "

03/11/16 - New Headquarters!
!!!! NEWS FLASH !!!!
The contract for the building of Broome Volunteer Sea Rescue Group's new headquarters at Entrance Point has now been signed & the clock is ticking!
The contracted build period is 22 weeks to completion.
Congratulations to all those who have worked so hard on this for 14 years: Chris, Lyle, Col, Treasurers, Secretaries, Committee Members past & present- a true team effort, with the end now in sight. Special thanks go to Chris for his total commitment & sacrifice.
